§ 75-004. MEMBERSHIP

The commission shall consist of nine members which shall include: 1) a member of the Sutter County Board of Supervisors who shall be the Chairperson of the Commission; 2) the Director of the Sutter County Health and Human Services Department; 3) the Chief Probation Officer for Sutter County; 4) the Superintendent of the Yuba City Unified School District; 5) the Local Planning Council Coordinator of Child Care Planning Council of Yuba and Sutter Counties; 6) the Community Services Director for Yuba City; 7) the Superintendent of the Live Oak Unified School District; 8) the Assistant Superintendent for the Sutter County Special Education Local Area Plan (SELPA); and, 9) an at-large member appointed by the Board of Supervisors from among:

(a)

The Sutter County Health Officer; or

(b)

Persons responsible for the management of the following county functions:

(1)

Children's services;

(2)

Public health services, behavioral health services, social services, and tobacco and other substance abuse prevention and treatment services;

(3)

Recipients of project services included in the County Children and Families Strategic Plan;

(4)

Educators specializing in early childhood development;

(5)

Representatives of local child care resource or referral agencies or local child care coordinating groups;

(6)

Representatives of local organizations for prevention or early intervention for families at risk;

(7)

Representatives of community-based organizations that have the goal of promoting nurturing and early childhood development;

(8)

Representatives of local school districts; or

(9)

Representatives of local medical, pediatric, or obstetric associations or societies.
