§ 920-010. LOADING OR UNLOADING TRUCKS OR TRAILERS

  • It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, co-partnership or corporation to use the county roads or highways of the County of Sutter, State of California, for the purpose of loading or unloading of trucks or trailers; provided, however, that upon adoption by the Board of Supervisors of a resolution stating that an emergency caused by such conditions as storms, floods or other conditions of disaster or extreme peril to persons or property exists, use of a county road for loading or unloading of trucks shall be permitted. Provided further, however, that county roads or highways of the County of Sutter may be used for loading or unloading fruit or nut crops. During any such authorized use, on-the-road loading or unloading shall be subject to such a user providing for the safety of workers and the public using the county road. As a minimum, such user shall comply with the traffic control measures set forth in the latest edition of "Manual of Traffic Controls, Warning Signs, Lights, and Devices for Use in Performance of Work on Highways", published by the State of California Business and Transportation Agency, Department of Transportation. Said Department of Transportation publication shall be available for reference, inspection and copying in the office of the County Development Services Department.
