§ 800-110. DOG LICENSES REQUIRED

  • (a)

    Except as provided in Section 800-117, any person who owns, harbors, keeps, or controls any dog over the age of four months shall obtain a dog license from the County of Sutter. The license shall be obtained not later than either 30 days after the dog attains the age of four months or 30 days after the dog is first brought into Sutter County. Dog licenses may be issued for a term of one, two, or three years at the option of the owner, subject to compliance with Sections 800-106 and 800-107.

    (b)

    Animal Control Services shall not license any dog until it has been vaccinated with a State-approved vaccine, by injection or other method approved by the Health Officer, and the owner or person in possession of said dog submits a certificate of vaccination for such dog. In no instance shall a dog license be issued for a period beyond the date upon which revaccination expires.
