It shall be unlawful to fire or discharge any pistol, gun, rifle, firearm, cannon,
anvil loaded with powder, or other device whereby a shot, bullet, or other dangerous
missile is projected in the area or areas designated in Sections 480-020 and 480-025 of this Chapter and within the unincorporated area of the County of Sutter,
provided, however, that this section shall not be construed to prohibit any officer
of the law from discharging a firearm in the performance of his duty, nor to any person
from discharging a firearm when lawfully defending person or property.
