§ 415-010. DEFINITIONS

  • When used in this ordinance [chapter] the following words and phrases shall have the following meaning:

    CARD ROOM : Any place where games of cards are played.

    DANCE HALLS : Any public place where dances are held or where dancing is permitted as a means of entertainment.

    HARD LIQUOR : Any Beverage containing more than one-half of 1% of alcohol by volume.

    HARD LIQUOR STORE : Any place where hard liquors are kept, stored, sold or handled.

    POOL HALL : Any place of business having pool or billiard tables where games of pool or billiards or similar games are played.

    ROAD HOUSE : Any place where dancing or other amusement is permitted with the serving of meals, or between courses of meals or before or after meals or where any other entertainment is permitted or allowed during meals.

    SOFT DRINKS : Any beverage, whether in the original package or bottled or whether mixed at any place of business, which beverage contains less than one-half of 1% of alcohol by volume.

    SOFT DRINK STORE : Any place where soft drinks are sold, mixed or handled.
