§ 340-010. AUTHORITY

Pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code Section 217, the County of Sutter establishes a procedure whereby the Sheriff of Sutter County shall transfer and deliver any bicycles or toys or both in his possession which have been unclaimed for a period of at least three months to the Probation Office of Sutter County. Said bicycles and toys shall be used in any program of activities designed to prevent juvenile delinquency and administered by the Probation Officer. By this ordinance, Sutter County shall dispose of any unclaimed bicycles or toys in the possession of the Sheriff in lieu of the provisions contained in Section 2080.5 of the California Civil Code.
