§ 270-010. PURPOSE

  • The purpose of this Chapter is to enact formal policies and regulations implementing and supplementing the current provisions of the Health and Safety Code, Division 2.5, Chapters 1- 11, Sections 1797 et seq., Division 12, Chapter 5, Section 13862; The California Code of Regulations Title 13, Article I, Sections 1100 et seq., and Title 22, Division 9, Chapters 1 - 8, Sections 100001 et seq, California Vehicle Code, California Highway Patrol Ambulance Drivers Handbook, and Local EMS Agency policies, to permit and regulate the operation of ambulance services and other medical transport systems within Sutter County. In addition, the local Emergency Medical Services Agency reserves the right to establish exclusive EMS operating areas. Such exclusive operating areas will be established and awarded in compliance with the provisions of California Health and Safety Code, Division 2.5, Section 1707.224. Nothing contained in this Chapter shall be construed to permit a deviation from the minimum standards set forth in State statutes and regulations and nothing contained in this Chapter shall require duplication of certification or accreditation.
