§ 230-010. MINORS AND INTOXICATED PERSONS

  • It shall be unlawful for any pawnbroker to receive or purchase any property, article or thing from any person who shall appear to be intoxicated, or from any minor, and it shall be unlawful for any such pawnbroker to employ or otherwise procure any minor to collect, receive or in any manner obtain possession of any such articles, material or property.

    This prohibition shall not apply where the minor presents the written consent of his parent or guardian, duly signed and authorizing the particular transaction had with such pawnbroker. Such written consent shall be retained by such pawnbroker as long as the goods procured through said transaction remain in his possession, and shall be exhibited upon demand to any police officer or other peace officer.
