Effective on January 7, 1991, the office and duties of the district attorney of the
County of Sutter, State of California and the office and duties of the public administrator
of the County of Sutter, State of California, formerly consolidated, are separated
pursuant to Government Code section 24301. This separation is deemed to be in the
public interest as efficiency will be enhanced by separating the civil law functions
of the public administrator from the predominately criminal law functions of the district
attorney. Reconsolidation of the duties of either of these offices with a third office
is not provided by this ordinance and the duties of each office shall be performed
by a separate person.
