§ 1120-090. ANGLE PARKING
(a)
Specified areas of certain streets and roadways in the County of Sutter, as hereinafter designated in this section, are hereby established for angle or diagonal parking. Such diagonal parking shall be at an angle of 45 degrees to the curb or gutter line for all vehicles providing however, that in no case shall vehicles exceeding 25 feet in over-all length be parked in said areas, except as hereinafter provided, and that in no case shall any vehicle be parked so as to block the through traffic, or so as to block means of ingress and egress to and from said roadways.
(b)
Any delivery vehicle, whether or not the same exceeds 25 in over-all length, may park in any reasonable manner and for any reasonable period of time within the areas herein designated for the purpose of loading or unloading any goods whatsoever to or from any business, building, or place within the areas herein specified. So long as such delivery vehicle is parked in such reasonable manner and for such reasonable period of time, no such delivery vehicle shall be deemed to be parked in violation of this section.
(c)
In accordance with and subject to the limitations set forth in subsection (a), diagonal parking shall be authorized within the areas specified in subsection (e) of this section on the following streets and roadways:
(1)
In the Community of Sutter:
a.
California Street from south Butte Road to Butte House Road.
b.
Nelson Street from Madrone Street to Palm Street.
c.
Acacia Street from Butte House Road to Marshall Avenue.
d.
South Butte Road from Acacia Street to Madrone Street.
e.
Butte House Road from Acacia Street to Madrone Street.
f.
Madrone Street from Butte House Road to College Avenue.
g.
Lyon Street from California Street to Pepper Street.
h.
Pepper Street from South Butte Road to Nelson Street.
i.
North Butte Road from Everett Street to Oak Street.
j.
Barrow Street from California Street to Pepper Street.

In the Community of Meridian:
a.
First Street from D Street to Bridge Street.
b.
Fourth Street from D Street to Bridge Street.
c.
Bridge Street from First Street to Fifth Street.
(3)
In the Community of East Nicolaus:
a.
Nicolaus Avenue from Willow Street to Sacramento Northern Railway.
b.
Palm Street from Sutter Street to Nicolaus Avenue.
(4)
In the community of Nicolaus:
a.
Garden Highway and Nicolaus Avenue from Markham Road to a point 0.2 miles south of Markham Road.
(d)
The provisions of this section shall not be effective until appropriate signs giving notice that diagonal parking is permitted on the above listed areas of roadways are erected.
(e)
It is hereby made the duty of the Road Commissioner to erect and maintain appropriate signs giving notice of the permissibility of said diagonal parking. Said signs shall be placed as required to designate said diagonal parking within the areas and on the streets and roadways hereinbefore described before schools, churches, public buildings, commercial buildings and stores, commercial areas, public meeting places, and other buildings, halls, or places open to the public. Said signs shall be erected at the discretion of the Road Commissioner and in a manner not dangerous to public safety.
